CBAM ChECk
Check goods in 2 steps:
Identify imported goods
Determine country of origin
Your company imports goods made of iron & steel, aluminium, cement or fertilisers, electricity or hydrogen into the customs territory of the EU?
Only imports into countries and territories of the customs territory of the European Union are covered by the EU CBAM Regulation (EU) 2023/956, §1(1) in conjunction with CBAM Regulation (EU) No 952/2013, §4).
And the individual value of the imported goods per consignment is over EUR 150?
Only consignments with an individual value of more than EUR 150 are covered by the EU CBAM (CBAM Regulation (EU) 2023/956, §2(3) in conjunction with Council Regulation (EC) No 1186/2009, §23 on customs duty exemption). The unit value is the price of the goods themselves when sold for export to the customs territory of the Union, excluding transport and insurance costs and all other taxes and duties (CBAM Regulation (EU) 2023/956, §3(10) in conjunction with Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/2446, §1(48)).
Then identify the imported goods here by entering the goods designation or goods number or by using the goods search.
Identify the goods that the company imports into the customs territory of the EU. To do this, enter the goods designation or goods number directly. If you do not know this, you can select it from the displayed goods by selecting the relevant sectors, goods categories or goods groups.
If you are importing processed products created under the inward processing procedure (according to CBAM Regulation (EU) 952/2013, Article 256) into the EU, you identify the goods that have been processed, transformed or repaired into these processed products under the inward processing procedure (CBAM Regulation (EU) 952/2013, Article 5(37)).
Select here the sector of your company’s imports covered by CBAM (according to CBAM Regulation (EU) 2023/956, §2(1) in conjunction with Annex I).
